How to use
- Paste your list, one name per line, and give it a name.
- Mark anyone who is absent today.
- Press Pick. The name shows large on a card.
- Pass lets someone go later. Picked names wait until everyone has had a turn.
When to use it
In class
Call on students without picking the same hands. Absent students are left out without being deleted, and the list is ready again tomorrow.
In meetings
Pick who shares updates first, or who runs the next stand-up. Pick several at once for small groups.
Workshops and clubs
Keep one saved list per group and switch between them in a tap.
How it stays fair
Every pick is made from the names still in the draw, each with the same chance. Absent names are left out, passed names wait for later, and the card only shows a result that was already decided. See how it works
Questions
Will the same student be picked twice?
Not until everyone has had a turn. Then you can start a new round. You can also turn this off to pick from everyone each time.
What is the difference between absent and pass?
Absent leaves a name out for this session without deleting it. Pass puts the name back so it can come up again later in the round.
Are student names sent anywhere?
No. Lists stay in this browser on this device. Share links carry the list inside the link itself, not on our servers.
Can I keep lists for several classes?
Yes. Save as many lists as you like and pick one from My lists.
