Questions
Which places are on the list?
The 193 United Nations member states, the two observer states, and Taiwan. Each has its two letter country code. The full source is listed on our sources page.
How are continents and regions decided?
We follow the United Nations regional groupings used for statistics. Some places could fit more than one, so the source is listed.
Do bigger countries come up more often?
No. Size and population make no difference. Every place has one equal slice.
